Duties and Responsibilities of the Student Welfare and Services Office

• Granting educational loans to full-time day students.
• Granting emergency loans to full-time day students.
• Granting housing deposit loans to married full-time day students who do not own housing.
• Granting tuition loans to evening-program students.
• Providing accident insurance coverage for all enrolled full-time day students.

Timeframe, Procedures, and Workflow of Services Provided

• All student loans, including educational, emergency, housing deposit, tuition, and other loans, are offered to students twice during the academic year (in the first and second semesters), in accordance with the schedule announced by the Student Welfare Fund, which usually begins at the start of each semester’s registration period.
• Each type of loan has its own specific requirements. Students may obtain detailed information by visiting the Welfare Office in person and consulting the relevant experts.
• All enrolled full-time day students are covered by accident insurance through the university. Therefore, in the event of any accident, they may refer to the Welfare Office to receive compensation.

Loan Eligibility for Newly Admitted Students

• Newly admitted students applying for a loan for the first time (whether in the day program or the second/evening program) should visit the Welfare Office, located in the Imam Reza (PBUH) Building, Student Welfare Fund Section.
• Newly admitted day-program students who wish to apply for an educational loan and are experiencing financial difficulties may visit the Welfare Office and register no later than October 7.
• Student accident insurance is also provided collectively in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Science and the relevant insurance companies.

Important Note

According to the rules and regulations of the Student Welfare Fund regarding the repayment of student loans, the maximum period allowed for installment-based repayment from the time of admission is as follows:

• For associate degree students, non-continuous bachelor’s students, and non-continuous master’s students: a maximum of 4 academic semesters
• For continuous bachelor’s students: a maximum of 8 academic semesters

Therefore, students are required to visit the Student Welfare and Services Office immediately after graduation in order to determine their loan status and complete clearance procedures. Otherwise, their debt will not be converted into installments, and they will be required to pay the full amount in cash.

In addition, all student loans are subject to a 4% charge for the period from the time the loan is received until the due date of the first installment.
